LiveMesh is a Microsoft online service for syncronising files between your devices, Be they desktops, laptops or windows mobile devices. Any files can be sync'd, and the fles are also avaliable inside your own 5GB SkyVault anywhere with an internet connection. You can share content with others using LiveMesh but the sharing feature is not as elegent as the one in DropBox.

DropBox
DropBox is a file syncronising service for desktops and laptops. You can syncoronise your files between multiple devices with ease. All files are also avaliable online anywhere with an internet connection, a smaller 2GB of storage than LiveMesh but you have the ability to pay a monthyl fee to upgrade. LiveMesh claims to be faster than other syncing software, i personally havnt seen any speed difference over LiveMesh. DropBox does however make sharing your content really easy with dynamic URL's rather than having to set up folder memberships.
